A Legendary Anime Revived on the Big Screen
The event will feature digitally remastered versions of two feature-length compilations, both showcasing episodes directed by Hayao Miyazaki. These historically significant films include Sherlock Hound the Movie: The Adventure of the Blue Carbuncle / The Treasure Under the Sea, which was originally double-billed with Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind in 1984, and Sherlock Hound the Movie: Mrs. Hudson is Taken Hostage / The Great Air Battle over the Strait of Dover!, which screened alongside Castle in the Sky in 1986.
Based on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s famous detective novels, the series reimagines the characters as anthropomorphic dogs, delivering a delightful action-comedy adventure filled with unique charm.
