About Hatsune Miku
Hatsune Miku is a voice synthesizer software planned and developed by Crypton Future Media, Inc. in 2007, which allows users to make her sing by inputting lyrics and a melody. The character depicted on the software’s packaging, known for her signature blue-green twin-tails, gained immense popularity. Music created using the software was posted online in large numbers, sparking a chain of creative works in illustration, song, and dance, growing into a major cultural phenomenon. Today, she is active in many fields as a “virtual singer.” In Japan, her “Magical Mirai” event, which combines live concerts with exhibitions, has drawn over 580,000 attendees since 2013, with events planned for Osaka, Tokyo, and Hamamatsu in 2026. Internationally, her “HATSUNE MIKU EXPO” world tour series has traveled to 46 cities for 111 performances, establishing her as a truly global sensation.
